Yeah, Right!
The feeling is, and was, noble, but oh so simplistic. Both now, as then, the real issues are so much deeper.
Today in Annapolis, Palestinian and Israeli leaders are to meet with President Bush in the hopes of bringing peace to the middle east. Israel has given pieces of itself away time and time again, without any real evidence that its enemies are willing to let it exist. Hamas doesn't want peace, and the outlook for it looks bleak. Anything can happen, but is it a desperate attempt for fading leaders to score a goal before their clock runs out? We'll see.
